The technical progress necessitates a more flexible, effective and reliable construction of machines. With this goal AUERBACH has been developing tooling machines for more than 60 years. Our experience, the permanent development and the customer's requirements initiate 5 base model concepts. Our machines are suited not only for machining small to middle sized work pieces, but also for big, complex work pieces and their finishing and rough machining. So the machining of different work pieces is hardly set boundaries. 20 years ago all machines had been equipped with sliding guides; nowadays ball point screws are used. Due to our ex perience and development we were able to seize the principle of sliding guides again and benefit from their advantages as stability and very good damping capacity without disregarding the accuracy and life time of the guides. This concept is the basis of our FBE series. The stability of these machines allows heavy-duty cutting tasks. However the AX-series is equipped with ball screw guides and allows very high feed speed, whereby the machine is perfectly suited for finishing. The AX5 F-series offers the opportunity of machining big and heavy work pieces at a minimal space requirement and moving mass at the same time due to its moving-column construction. Travel ways in the X axis of up to 4.200 mm can be realised by the segmental construction. The Smart Mill 600, which has been relaunched again, is the smallest machining centre and tops the product range off. Our machine concepts and individual solutions form the basis for an economic complete machining of your work pieces. Precision, flexibility, innovation and reliability are not insisted to remain catch phrases. A close cooperation between our technological team, the customers and approved research
institutes are the most important components for our competences.

COMPLETE MACHINING FROM SMALL TO BIG
Longitudinal travel ways up to 4.200 mm and a table load of machines are the maximum parameters, which can be handled with the standard milling machines.
A special feature for the AX5 B machine is the option of a V-axis for extending the diameter of the interference area in the transversal axis up to 2.000 mm.

MAXIMUM POWER BY PRECISION AND STABILITY
High stability offer our machines of the FBE-series. Casted machine frames with hand-scrapped sliding guides and respective counter coating assure a maximum milling capacity at the highest precision. These machines can perfectly meet the requirements for heavy-duty cutting.

INDIVIDUAL CONFIGURATION
Depending on the customer's requirements our machines can be delivered with different milling heads and tables. This means that all models can be built with robust gear heads for heavy-duty cutting and also with HSC motor spindles. Furthermore there are 3 different variants of tables: rotary table, fixed table and fixed table with integrated rotary table.

RELIABILITY DUE TO SPL-MOTOR SPINDLES
Another highlight is a SPL-motor spindle, which is adapted to the machine. By permanent determination of the bearing temperature and monitoring of bearing vibrations can indicate overloading and avoid bearing damages by optimizing the cutting data. Furthermore spindle failures can be avoided by displaying the maintenance intervals.
For more than 60 years we have already been producing tooling machines in Ellefeld in the Vogtland region.
At this we do not limit ourselves to the production of traditional milling machines in bed-type and moving-column construction: In fact our speciality is to combine the conventional milling technology with modern deep drilling technology in only one machine. Furthermore our milling machines can provide a high precision, operational safety and productivity due to several optional features. In cooperation with our customers of sectors like machine-building, tool and mould making, aerospace as well as automotive, we develop and produce individual machine combinations for an economic production.
Our AUERBACH machines are used world-wide.
Especially the Asian countries became a more and more important sales market.
