Higher Cieaning Efficiency
Through Use of Heavier Fabrics

Barnes Drill's New Kleenall Units

Barnes Drill's new Kleenall units are high-capacity filters that embody the same inherent advantages as smaller Kleenall filtration equipment. They meet the needs of users requiring a single unit for circulating and cleaning large amounts of coolants or oils, especially in installations where a central system is impractical.

Higher cleaning efficiency is achieved through the use of heavier fabric, while economy is attributed to less fabric usage due to larger diameter seal wheels and greater filtering area. A pressure sensing device replaces the usual float for positive indexing of the fabric.

Due to Barnes Drill's engineering expertise in the filtering field, these filters are versatile in application and can be used in the following ways: 1) Direct Flow; 2) Sump; 3) Collector Tank.

BIG SAVINGS ON FLOOR SPACE...

These filters offer a 50% savings in floor space compared to a bank of smaller units that would match their capacity. Additionally, there are significant savings in piping and plumbing over multiple-unit arrangements. Front and rear views show sturdy endless belt plus a close-up reveals the filter, magnetic drum, rubber roller, seal wheel, and special sensing device on MP models for positive indexing of fabric. Kleenall P Models have no magnetic drum.

Barnes Drill Kleenall Combination Magnet and Fabric Filters Give Double Cleaning Action

ECONOMIC BENEFITS

In the MP-60 and MP-100 models, Barnes Drill engineers have combined fabric filters with a magnetic separator, providing two-stage coolant cleaning. First, dirty coolant passes through a powerful magnetic field that removes ferrous particles. In the second stage, it flows through a heavy-duty filter fabric, which removes non-ferrous contaminants.

DESIGNED FOR EASY INSTALLATION...

These virtually self-contained units require minimal outside piping and simple electrical connections, both manageable by the shop maintenance department. Once installed, Kleenall units require minimal maintenance due to their heavy belt and virtually leak-proof seal wheel, maintaining efficiency over extended periods of continuous filtering operation.

POSITIVE PRODUCTION SAVINGS...

  • LONGER WHEEL LIFE: Less frequent dressing of grinding surfaces due to clean coolant.
  • REDUCED MACHINE WEAR: Waste particles do not accumulate, reducing wear.
  • LOWER COOLANT COSTS: Automatic removal of chips and grit preserves coolant quality.
  • INCREASED PRODUCTION: Reduced downtime increases machine productivity.
  • LOWER MAINTENANCE COSTS: Easy sludge removal minimizes maintenance efforts.

COMPLETE LABORATORY FACILITIES

Barnes Drill's laboratory analyzes contaminated coolant to recommend the ideal fabric and filter model based on flow rate, fluid viscosity, particle size and characteristics, contaminant percentage, and clarity requirements for each installation.
