Super plasma cutting system

SUPER PLASMA is a computerized plasma cutting system that specializes in sheet metal and plate profiling for soft iron, stainless steel, and aluminum. It is a technology that meets the new requirements for light to medium fabrication. The system consists of a personal computer workstation, a software package for converting drawings, a printer, a numeric control, a plasma cutter with an air dryer, a plotter with a plasma torch, and a fume extractor. The workstation can directly interface with the technical office in the workshop, using a two-dimensional CAD program to study the shape to build. The PLASMA II program manages the drawing conversion, starting and finish lines, shape storage, automatic nesting, and optimization of shapes. Once the data has been transmitted to the numeric control, the cutting torch follows the programmed path, cutting through the material. The fumes generated by the cutting torch are removed by a hood under the machine bed. The SUPER-PLASMA uses the Hypertherm MAX 100, a plasma cutting machine with a continuous current regulation from 30 to 100 amperes, allowing the cutting of plate from 0.6mm to 20mm thick. The system has a duty cycle of 80 amperes and 80 duty cycles at maximum power. The cutting plant includes a workstation with a numeric control, a personal computer, a graphic printer, and a plasma torch. The software comprises Plasma II, Caddyjŕ, and a DXF interpreter. The system has a maximum plate dimension of 3200x1500 mm and a cutting speed of about 8 m/min.
