Safe truck loading for Mazak Integrex 300Y to Brisbane
For shipment to Brisbane Australia we prepared and loaded a Mazak Integrex 300Y into a truck with a focus on safety and stability. The key to a controlled move was building a rigid base inside the trailer so the machine could travel level, supported and protected.
Preparation
We measured footprint, weight and centre of gravity. The trailer floor condition, lash points and axle load limits were checked. A short safety briefing aligned roles between lift supervisor, forklift operator and rigger. Sensitive areas of the machine were protected and all loose parts were removed or boxed.
Building the stable base
Inside the truck we constructed a load bearing base using structural timber and steel plates. Bearing lines were placed under the machine frame to spread loads and avoid point pressure. Anti slip mats increased friction between base and floor. Cross bracing prevented racking. Stop blocks were positioned at the front and rear to resist movement during braking and acceleration. The base height was chosen to keep the machine within legal transport height while allowing fork access for positioning.
Loading and positioning
The machine was lifted and set down on the prepared base in small controlled steps. Using taglines the team aligned the bed to the trailer centre line. A spirit level and laser confirmed level support under all bearing lines so internal stresses were avoided. Clearance from side walls and roof was verified before final set down.
Securing and documentation
The load was secured with chains and straps to certified lash points. Edge protectors prevented strap damage. Diagonal lashing created restraint in every direction and an additional belly wrap stabilised the centre of gravity. Torque on binders was rechecked after ten minutes. We recorded photos, dimensions, weight distribution and the packing list for the transport file, so the receiving team knows how to handle unloading.
Result
The Integrex 300Y left on schedule, fully supported on a rigid base and secured according to standard. The stable foundation reduces vibration, protects geometry and ensures a predictable arrival for handover and onward shipping.
