It is well known that the cutting process has a great deal of influence on both product dimensional accuracy and manufacturing economy. At the same time, this fundamental process of cutting becomes the corner-stone of profit in manufacturing. Our many detailed studies and innovations toward increasing cutting accuracy, reducing cutting time, and increasing the service life of sawblades have resulted in reducing operating costs. The main frame of the bandsaw is designed for high rigidity to prevent vibration, enabling the cutting accuracy to be continuously held within 0.2mm (0.008in).
Amada bandsaws have many special features designed for automation
and unattended operation. These features ensure continuous troublefree operation.
The bandsaw has a centralised control panel so that all cutting conditions can be set from one position. Set-up is simplified by the pictorial explanations adjacent to each control.
Saw blades can be changed easily. Depending on the model, each machine has either a mechanical cam or hydraulic blade inserts.
The proper blade tension for high-accuracy cutting can be set quickly. Even when bundle-cutting or cutting large diameter material, there is no problem with blade runout.

The blade wheel is driven by a worm gear for smooth operation. The gears run in an oil bath to prevent wear. Variations in the cutting load are automatically sensed by the cut control system (feedback system) which was developed by Amada through its many years of experience. During the cutting operation the system maintains a constant cutting rate. This greatly extends the service life of the saw blade.

The motion detector stops the machine if the saw blade breaks or it detects any slip during operation, due to jamming of blade into the workpieces.
•The machine is equipped with saw blade safety covers, which completely covers the blade except for the actual cutting area.
•A safety interlock will automatically stop the machine if a wheel cover is opened during operation.

These bandsaws are top quality machines designed for unattended operation. special attention has been paid to maximum cutting speed and service life of the blade. Each machine is equipped with automatic controls which guarantee that even unskilled operators will be able to easíly produce accurately cut parts. These machines demonstrate their superior power from the moment they are installed.

Each bandsaw is equipped with a microprocessor. Five different cut lengths and number of cut pieces can be preset through a tenkey pad. The control system automatically compensates for the blade kerf, so the required cutting lengths can be input directly. Of course, the programmed instructions are easy to correct or change. Once the program is input, the machine operation is fully automatic.

The blade runout detector stops the machine if the blade should runout rather than run straight. This prevents inaccurate cutting and saw blade breakage. The amount of allowable blade runout is adjustable.
