Amada VM Band saws

VM SERIES
The VM series bandsaws were developed by Amada as a result of many years of achievement. These bandsaws show their superiority in lengthwise cutting, such as slicing, shaping, notching, and center cutout. Compared to former cutting methods where the work had to be done by milling machines, shapers, and planers, the VM bandsaws are much faster and more efficient with regard to material size, and material loss is held to a minimum. Stable and accurate cutting conditions can be maintained because of the rigid machine frame. The blade guides hold
the blade precisely in place. All these factors together mean that the saw blade always runs true, even when cutting heat-treated steel, stainless steel, and tool steel. The centralised control panel enables complete operation from one position, and is in itself a labor-saving device which is easy to operate. The saw blade tensioner is hydraulic and adjustable. Blade tension is set in one operation.

The saw blade speed can be adjusted by the variable speed control. There is a general trend for materials to beeome larger and heavier.

The hydraulic unit and electrical components are located in one place and accessible to simplify maintenance. The saw blade guide is moved vertically by hydraulic pressure through a simple remote control lever. A large number of options are available, including laser beam marking unit (VM-1200), chip conveyer (VM-1200), extra table for handling large and long material, clamping kit, and blade motion detector (VM-1200).
