Support and Tooling Mechanisms

Top Support:

Function: When rolling thinner materials to larger diameters, the rolled part tends to have little inherent strength and may collapse, resulting in an egg-shaped cylinder. Adding a top support avoids the rolling of overlapped plate edges and helps position the plate edges for tack welding.

Usage: Primarily used when rolling larger diameter open shapes to prevent the weight of the material from re-opening the rolled diameter as the material goes through the rolls.

Profile Dies:

Function: Profile dies can be mounted onto the machine’s extended roll shafts outside the drop-end bearing. These can be adjusted to the profile shape (T, U, Flat, or Pipe).

Adjustment: Allows for the precise shaping of profiles according to specific requirements.
