PROJECT AND MANUFECTURING

HISTORICAL PROFILE
cPS of Francesco D Auría was born ín 1993 as a small company whích worked for the
designíng and manufacturíng of was situated ín a plant of about 300 sq. m.
In 1998, with the building of a new plant of about 1,200 sq. m, CPS has hígh speed technology machinery to make its presence more competitive in the mould market.
In 2001, after a strategic choice, that is to deal with the mechanical machining for the energy industry, CPS made a massive re-modernizing plan by adding other 4,500 sq. m. of plant wíth the fitting in of new machines forthe mechanical machíning with 5 axles.
In 2003, a three-storey plant was built for a total amount of 5,000 for the realisation of a
machining centre with EDM process. Today this division has 45 plunge EDMs; 8 wire EDMs;5 ECMs; 
a division with 5 working centres forthe machining of graphite and a metrological stations.
After this investment, CPS srl was born.
In 2004 ,50 of a company ín the surroundings of Melfi was taken over which today has a plant of 4,000 sq. m. and machinery for mechanícal machining for the energy sector.
Thís company is named Tecnomeccanica Srl.
In 2006, after our need of making our EDM division more efficient, we decided to create a research group for the improvement of this process.
A new partnership was founded Cormac Technology Srl taking over the Cormac srl in Varese, buying also its plant of about 2,000
This partnership deals with research and development.
In 2008, CPS bought two bordering plants, the first one of 1,000 sq. m. and the second
one of 4,000 ,adding the working of meccanical structural steelwork, all this because our potential customers in these years have recognized a remarkable performance of our quality and competitiveness awarding us with an always increasing business volume.
Today, CPS Group is made up of about 100 employees 5 plants of a total amount of
22,000 of covered areas on 42,000 of total area.

TECHNICAL DIVISI0N QUALITY CONTROL
CPS s Technícal Divísion makes usef modern instruments for símulatíng designíng and computatíon for the engíneering of the products machíned by them. 
The programmes used all use 3D technologies.
Our quality system is certified according to IS0 9001:2000 and makes use of two
metrological stations having three-dimensional measuring machínes with 5 axis heads and of all the necessary instruments for the dimensional and visual control of the manufactured pieces CPS is also equipped with a 3d laser measuring machine Leica who can measure up to 18,000 mm.

EDM IMPELLERS

In 2001, CPS developed a study for the machining of impelters for compressors from
monolithic structure with EDM process.
Today CPS has a strong technology for the manufacturing of this product.
There is a plant existing with 50 EDMs which are able to satisfy machining up to a diameter of 2000 mm.

MILLING IMPELLERS

cPS has a technology for the manufacturing of three-dimensional impellers from monolithic structure. Over the last years, there was the need to make better performing machínery which department for full milling impellers of 13 boring machines with 5 axles with working capacity of 400-4000 mm diameter.

STATO RS
Manufacturing of stator components for energy sector.
CPS ís specíalized in the machining of components for gas turbines steam turbínes
hydroelectric turbines centrifugal compressors alternative compressors.
Thís department is furnished with milling-boring machines with working range up to 30,000 mm and verticallathes up to a diameter of 7,000 mm.

Machíning of rotor shafts for turbines and compressors.
With the help of horizontal iathes of diameter up to 2,500 mm length up to 15,000 mm and boríng machines equipped with controlled divíder, CPS is able to machine any rotor
completing it in each phase, whether with lathing or milling.
BLINGS
CPS ís expert ín the manufacturíng of Blíngs from the full solíd. 
The manufacturing of the blíngs can follow two processes, Millíng and EDM technology. The choice of the way of manufacturing depends usually on the shape of the blades and their accessibility.
For the manufacturing of blings CPS have a working department of 13 milling machines with 5 axis with work capacity from 400 to 4000mm on the Milling department, and 50 machines up to dìameter 2000mm on the EDM department.
TRAINING
cPa keeps their workers aiways updated on theír work by involvíng them ín traíníng
courses ínsíde and outside the company.
The training is also used to form the new employees in the kínd of work performed in cPS.

GREEN ENERGY
cPs, always interested in environmental issues, has decided to implement the GREEN
ENERGY technology in its network deciding a massive use of solar panels, reducíng
considerably its request of energy.

SHROUD HYDRO
Shroud
CPS ís specíaiízed ín the machíníng of components for GasTurbíne
With the availability of the all machines, CPS is able to provide all type of Rings
and Shroud andTurbine Housing.
Hydro
CPS has started working components for Hydro sector sínce 2005.
Now is specialízed in the machining of components for Keplan Turbine Francis
Turbine Pelton Turbine. CPS has the abiiíty to both parts, of the stator and of the rotor.
