The safe docking and locking of the head/spindle is enabled by the hydromechanical CyTrac clamping systems with preload. The systems are integrated into the C-axis/ swivel housing and couple the corresponding bolts of the head A-axis/motor spindle during the feed process.

The clamping jaws grip the bolts, lock them securely, and hold them under preload.

For the transmission of liquid and gaseous media such as coolant, hydraulic, pneumatic, and quick coupling systems are used. These systems are leakage-free, very compact, and capable of handling high volumetric flow rates. Thanks to the integrated offset and angle compensation, it is possible to counteract production tolerances and inaccuracies during the joining process.
