The DANTIP machines are designed for precision grinding, deburring, and measuring, fully assembled variations of jet engine turbine rotor blade tips. This feature ensures the highest degree of accuracy achievable with current technologies.

The DANTIP grinds the blade tips of the rotor while they are being rotated at high speed, presenting the blades to the grinding wheel under optimal operating conditions. It has been demonstrated that diametric tolerances can be maintained to 0.025 mm. This achievement is regarded as highly significant, as the clearance between the rotor blade tips and the outer housing critically impacts the engine's performance.
