DELTA PLANE SURFACES GRINDERS

The surface grinding machines illustrated on these pages have the same design of the main units, although they obviously differ in a few technical features. The base of models LA 300 and LB 300 is made of the best cast iron, and the surface on which the magnetic chuck rests is ground with the same wheel mounted on the machine. On all models, the wheelhead is equipped with a special dynamically balanced 3-phase motor. The largely sized wheel spindle runs on special adjustable bearings for high speeds. A set of orientation registers ensures that the wheelhead is perfectly set at right angles with the table plane. The largely sized column is made of special cast iron and runs on adjustable taper roller bearings. The rise and fall of the wheelhead is actuated by a graduated handwheel through a couple of helical gears which permit adjustments in movements of 2 mm per revolution. These surface grinders have a micrometric downfeed which engages and disengages through a pawl device located on the handwheel drum and permits direct readings of 0.01 mm. All DELTA surface grinders, except for Model LA 300, are equipped with wet grinding equipment including electric.

Standard equipment also includes one cup wheel holder or alternatively one segment holder with grinding segments, as well as the wheel truing device without diamond, the table guard, the operator's manual, and the servicing tools. The following accessories are available on request: permanent magnet chucks, spare wheel holders, segment holders, wheel balancing attachments, cup wheels, and grinding segments.
