Cloos GLC 353 MAG welding machine with computer cotrolled

LOOS WELDING TECHNOLOGY

MAG high deposition welding provides the capacity to weld from thin to thick materials in both automated and manual applications, using a simple operating panel. Sequence modes and parameter settings can be configured and recalled easily. Additionally, 70 standard characteristic curves are available for most material-gas combinations.

If users require additional welding characteristic curves, they can be determined and established via a PC. The range of applications includes manual, automatic, and robotic tasks.

High-performance, user-friendly MC3 in a robotic application. Suitable for manual welding applications as well.

Remote control allows for power adjustment and task selection directly at the welding point.

USER-FRIENDLY AND FLEXIBLE PROGRAMMING

The comprehensive list of pre-programmed parameters provides users with the ability to select the ideal arc for different combinations of materials, wire diameters, and shielding gases. For example:

Welding aluminum is facilitated by MC3 with specific curves for magnesium and silicon alloyed wires.

All parameters are accessible using the same user-friendly procedure. Users only need to input welding current, wire speed, or material thickness. The power source's microprocessor calculates and automatically selects the optimal parameters for the task.

MEMORY FUNCTION FOR CONSISTENT PARAMETERS

For repetitive tasks, the machines feature a memory function with up to 50 job storage options. Each job can store specific settings such as:

Operating modes (e.g., 2-cycle)

Matching power frequency, pulse amplitude, and base current

Slopes (ramp-up and ramp-down)

Start and end crater programs

Stored parameters can be activated directly via the torch button.

HIGH QUALITY PERFORMANCE

The machines support steel and stainless steel wires with diameters from 0.8 to 1.6 mm Ø. For each of five different gases, the system automatically selects the suitable welding data, ensuring optimal performance.

A clear graphical interface ensures easy navigation and control of all programmed parameters.

WELDING ALUMINUM

When welding aluminum, the M03 system has distinct base parameters tailored for magnesium (Mg) and silicon (Si) alloys. The clear assignment of fewer input steps enables straightforward operation of the job memory function.

WELDING TECHNOLOGY

MULTIFUNCTIONAL SYSTEM FOR VARIOUS PROCESSES

The MC3 series offers operational modes for TIG welding with sequenced control. During operation:

The arc is ignited via contact with a tungsten-friendly current for durability.

While welding with stick electrodes, the electronic control ensures an easy-to-start and stable arc.

The power range spans from 15A/12V for TIG welding to 550A for high-performance MAG welding.

APPLICATION EXAMPLES

Reduced Spatter and Distortion: Manual MAG welding is highly effective in silo vehicle construction.

INCREASED FLEXIBILITY WITH THE ROMA1 310 SYSTEM

When paired with a powerful wire feed system, the ROMA1 310 provides high-performance MIG welding capabilities for specialized materials and containers. The use of software enables customization of characteristic curves for advanced applications.
