Lathe chuck serves to attach a workpiece that is machined on a machine tool. The lathe chuck is fixed on the spindle of the machine tool through the driving plate or directly. The more popular types of spindles of machine tools include: Type A1-A2 D1N 55026, Type C-Baynet D1N 55027, Type D-Camlock D1N 55029. Lathe chucks can be made of cast iron or steel body. Chucks distribution can be classified by the type of hand attachment: e.g., self-centering spiral, with independent jaw adjustment, rack and pinion setting, or mechanical: e.g., without travel, with passage, integrated with pneumatic cylinder or due to the number of jaws: 2-, 3-, 4-, 6-jaw.
