D'ANDREA U tronic Turning operations on boring machines
The U-TRONIC CN heads are designed for boring and facing medium to large dimensions, enabling turning operations with fixed pieces on all types of machine tools. Available in various models ranging from 360 to 1600 mm in diameter, these heads can be used manually, automatically, or with pallet systems on boring machines, machining centers, and special machines. They are integrated with the CNC of the machine tool for cylindrical and conical boring, threadings, outer and inner machining, back-facing operations, as well as radius and spherical operations, allowing for a wide range of turning operations through interpolation with the other axes of the machine.

Special versions of U-TRONIC are available upon request, featuring two slides or counterweights for self-balancing. Fixed tool holders can be applied on the slide with manual or automatic tool change. These versatile solutions allow for identifying the best U-TRONIC application for each machine tool, offering high performance within a consolidated period of time at reduced costs. The introduction of increased automation and intelligent accessories such as U-TRONIC has significantly enhanced the flexibility of machine tools by reducing tooling requirements and the number of placements, particularly in multi-axis machines.
