Designed for use in single-piece and small-batch production, DANUMERIC Drills are setting standards in drilling and economics evaluation. Savings of up to 75 percent of cost-intensive setup times and non-productive times can be achieved. In fact, it pays to invest in a DANUMERIC.

A DANUMERIC drill will accommodate any possible order. Up to 500 tools and a maximum of 10 material blocks can be stored in a technology and tool database and called up whenever required. The DANUMERIC suggests tools and calculates speeds and additions. Soft keys generate hole patterns such as rows of holes, hole circles, or matrices.

Programming in a few seconds
Programming of machining cycles is very easy through the interactive communication of control and operator in dialogue. If the operator enters material and type of machining (drilling, tapping, reaming, etc.), the controls will select not only spindle speeds and feeds but also suggest an appropriate drill and calculate the correct centering depth.

Keeping everything under control
The operator can always check all data and coordinates by means of a colored test pattern.

Intelligent control
The workpiece to be machined is touched manually by means of a tracer pin. There is no need to align the workpieces. They may be clamped on the table in any convenient position. The controls with the new color monitor calculate automatically:

Zero point and orientation of rectangular workpieces
