optimal Technology H5T / High-Speed Spindle Technology

Introduction
Maximum speed and acceleration/deceleration speed are the two core performance factors of a spindle that affect a machine's productivity. Minimized idle time and maximized operation time depend on how fast the spindle accelerates or decelerates according to the RPM set by the user. By adopting an aluminum pulley to reduce weight and winding switching technology to distribute the proper output at the right timing, Doosan Machine Tools has succeeded in developing a high-speed, static pressure spindle optimized for high-speed machining.

High-Rigidity Guideway Technology HGT

The high-rigidity box guideway installed in Doosan machine tools is equipped with air-based semi-floating technology. Doosan has applied its unique semi-floating sliding plate, which reduces maintenance costs through decreased engine oil consumption. Additionally, the method of floating the column slightly through the combined supply of air and oil eliminates the need for turcite, ensuring easier guideway machining and reduced friction during travel. By directly working on the casting surface, Doosan resolves delamination issues between turcite and casting surfaces, improving resistance to severe shocks.

History of Doosan Machine Tools

2014: FM 200/5AX Linear selected as a Best Design of the Year at the Korea Good Design Awards.

2014: Won the Red Dot Design Award for the PUMA SMX Series.

In 2013, Doosan completed the construction of the Seongju factory and held the ninth DIMF Doosan International Machine Tools Fair.

In 2011, the company held the eighth DIMF Doosan International Machine Tools Fair.

In 2010, Doosan was selected as one of the top one hundred Korean technologies for high-speed rigidity turning centers.

In 2008, the company reconstructed a new research and development center in Changwon.

In 2007, Doosan posted KRW one trillion in consolidated sales and integrated Doosan Mecatec Company’s Machine Tool Division.

In 2006, the company established a production system for ten thousand sets per year.

In 2005, it rebranded as Doosan Infracore Company Limited.

In 2004, Doosan was awarded the USD one billion exports tower in Korea. It established the Optimal Solution Center, including DTC, MTC, and RRC, and started machine tools production in Yantai, China.

In 2003, the company was awarded the USD seven hundred million exports tower in Korea. It established Daewoo Machine Tools Yantai Company in China.

In 2002, Doosan established the Machine Tools Company in Yantai, China. It was selected as an excellent exporter in the large company category with USD six hundred fifty million.

In 1999, Doosan acquired ISO fourteen thousand certification for IQRS and won an Iron Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit for excellent capital goods.

In 1997, the company held the first DIMF Daewoo International Machine Tools Fair and developed the new turning center PUMA series, consisting of twenty-six models.

In 1996, Doosan was awarded the Korea Quality Award Grand Prize.

In 1994, the company established Daewoo Heavy Industry America Company, exported CNC lathe technology to China, and established the Factory Automation System Engineering Center.

In 1993, it was certified ISO nine thousand one and established Daewoo Maschinen Vertriebs GmbH.

In 1990, Doosan achieved total machine tools production of one hundred thousand sets, including one thousand sets per year.

In 1986, the company won the Patent Management Award.

The PUMA GT2100 and 2600 represent a global standard in turning centers, created through Doosan's extensive experience and technical expertise. These models are designed to be market-leading turning centers, offering advanced capabilities and exceptional precision.

The PUMA 400 and 480 series focus on heavy-duty cutting with a wide range of cutting coverage, rapid positioning, and fast bi-directional turret indexing. These models are designed for powerful and efficient machining operations.

The PUMA 5100 series is a powerful turning center with Y-axis functionality, offering advanced features for demanding machining tasks.

The PUMA 600, 700, and 800 series are the largest turning centers in their class, providing heavy and interrupted cutting, long-term accuracy, and superior finishes.

The PUMA TT1500, 1800, and 2500 models, along with the PUMA TL2000 and 2500, enable simultaneous machining on two faces with twin spindles and turrets. These machines also feature a Y-axis function for enhanced productivity.
