Hydrostatic Worm Rack System

 

The hydrostatic worm rack system is used for the hydrostatic worm rack of bedoll 19 and the worm longitudinal adjustment of the table on the bed. A stable film of oil is built up between the rack flanks of the worm and the rack, over which the feed power is transmitted friction-free from the bed slide to the bed. Pressure monitors and gauges are built into each circuit. A fault message would appear if there is a lack of pressure due to a defect in the oil supply, and the operation would be stopped. The hydrostatic worm system eliminates backlash, making it ideal for heavy-duty cutting and high-speed revolution without frictional resistance and backlash. This system solves these challenges effectively.

Automatic Synchronization System
For the vertical movement of the crossrail, the feed drive of the crossrail column is equipped with two high-hardness ballscrews and AC servo motors for accuracy. Two separate feed gearboxes and AC servo motors are installed on each column. The W1 and W2-axis enable the crossrail to continuously maintain level and synchronize the changing locations of the crossrail using the location-adjusting function of the NC control system.

Milling Head

Our milling head has a special design for efficient heavy-duty machining of steel structures and parts, guided by a hydrostatic system inside the ram housing. The ram is covered in housing to support during heavy cutting. The ram feeding is executed by a connected AC servo motor, spur gear, and ball screw. To remove backlash, a double-nut type ball screw is applied. The counterbalance cylinder is designed for rapid traverse without load, despite the absence of a counterbalance cylinder.

Waldrich Coburg Milling Head
A Waldrich Coburg milling head can be attached as an option by mutual consent with Waldrich Coburg.

ATC - Automatic Tool Changer
The automatic tool changer is installed on the right or left side of the machine for efficient operation and machining. It has a multi-position shuttle for all attachments along the X-axis travel direction. Wherever the ram is located, attachments can be changed, and this process is controlled by a standard NC program.
