The new model Kreos boms from the wide experience gained by Fagima ín designing and construction of machining centers with moving column. Such a new model has been the resultofa long preliminary study phase, befoıe real designing, aimed ło resume the best characteństics of Derby and Domínus models. It was studied in every detail to meet the expectatíons of each potential customer . Kreos approaches to a market segment touched by the laıgest demaпd for machines with 5-axis moving columп and where obvíously the offers of producers are focused. Fagima therefore in order to offer the most satisfactory proposal, provides in the standard version 3 different altemałíves on X axís with strоkes of 1600-2700-4000 mm, while 800 mm stroke is oп both Y and Z axis. The new tool magazine which moves along the X stroke together wíth the column, grants a remaılcable speed in tool changíng, as well as the necessary usability even duńng pendular operations (available on models 270 and 400 non on 160 oпe). The standard equipment is remarkably upgradable and susceptíble of large customízation wíth the aim to match al1 the partícular needs of each customer, up to the possibllity of extra-strokes on the X axis.

Main structure of KREOS is determined by a monolithic base and a strong column moving oп it. Next to the column, on the left of ít, ís located the new tool magazine wíth 40 oг 60 positions. On X axís are assembled SP calegory guides of 55mm with 4 oblique contacts, and ball screw of 50mm Ø.

The new tool magazine ís characterized by a picking device that picks up the tool from the chain to position it in the exchangíng arm with 2 adjacent posítíons (one for the tool to be ínseıted in the spindie and one for the tool which is taken from the spindle).
