The new design allows the Y1 and Y2 axis (ram) to operate as independent double-acting hydraulic systems. Both axes share the same oil supply, but the flow to the valves and the true position(s) of the ram are entirely and separately controlled by computer command. The CNC reads ram position from the linear encoders while monitoring and adjusting the proportional valves, producing a double closed-loop system. Accuracy is further ensured by mounting the linear encoders on the bed rather than the side frames of the machine so that deflection of the side frames and load does not affect positioning. Accuracy is guaranteed to be ± 0.01 mm.

1. Actual depth: this read-out shows the actual depth of the left cylinder.
2. Programmed depth: the operator can set with these thumbwheel switches the depth he wants to obtain. During operation, the beam will go down until the actual depth corresponds to the programmed depth.
3. Working speed selection: we offer a choice of 3 working speeds:
   - fast = 100 % max.
   - normal = 80 % max.
   - slow = 30 % max.
4. One of the many advantages of the Robosoft Synchro Controlled Press Brake is that the ram can be tilted: for safety reasons, we provide a facility to lock or unlock this feature (enable-disable).
5. Value of ram tilt: the value is the difference between the right and the left cylinder, the max. angle is plus or minus 2.5 degrees.
6. Dedicated reference position: when the job is repeated, the machine reference is always the same allowing for quick setup.
