KIHEUNG KNC U ECO / ECO  Universal-Bed Milling Machines Economical base machine of the KNC series. Bed, table, column, and head made of quality cast iron GG 30. Precision-ground wide flat guides in all 3 axes. Table sizes larger than X-travel, table surfaces ground, T-slots ground, middle slot as reference slot H7. Outrigger guide length 1400 mm, outrigger length 2485 mm - ensures excellent Y-geometry with 1000 mm Y-travel. High drive power of 28/38 kW via HEIDENHAIN spindle motors. KIHEUNG's continuous quality control of the casting process ensures high-quality machine base components like bed, column, saddle, table, turret, and head. Gray and ductile iron components are manufactured in the company's in-house foundry using Furan sand molds. The quality is guaranteed through a control series using spectrometers, optical pyrometers, hardness testers, and metal microscopes.

Main components of all machine models are manufactured in a company-owned foundry. Benefiting from the continuously controlled quality of this foundry, the achieved supplier independence leads to reliable, short delivery times. Accuracy is guaranteed in the 1/1000 range by the art of scraping. These components are developed according to the Finite Element Method.

Experienced technicians assemble machine beds, columns, saddles, spindle heads, outriggers, and other components. This intricate system guides the saddle on the Z-axis with INA rollers on steel plates. This supports very good Y-geometry with large reach.
