LEGNANI, a modern and active industry, based on the 50 years proved experience among the "presses" field, keeping alive the reason for its success through the high technical properties of each one product.

"LEGNANI" Presses originated from the experience and the cooperation between manufacturer and consumer in order to get high performances and competitive peculiarities. In this catalog we show ou "FACS" Range, as the result of such cooperation. In planning and manufacturing this Range we mainly took care of reliability, ruggedness and high precision in the structure and the kinematics, as we duly cared of the safety standards and easy working for the operator in driving and using these presses.

The monobloc frame, made of weld and stabilized steel, guarantees the necessary stiffness in forming works. Thanks to the best static and dynamic strength, the deformation margin is allowable also for heavy blanking, bending and dishing works. Furthermore, the three sides of the surface are easily accessible for working and the back inclined table allows a good pieces unloading.

On the die-holder slide are fixed 6 bronze guide blocks, which guarantee a perfect sliding and highly precise movement along the slideways placed on the press-body. Some pneumatic cylinders balance the slide weight as well as the weight of the mould upper side.

The thrust on the slide is produced by the crank-handle/rod composed of a crankshaft and a connecting-rod. The crankshaft is forged material, made of nickel-chrome-molybdenum steel. The heat treatments during the working give to the piece such a strength and a structure resistant to the maximum stress. The ray connections are made very carefully, so as any microcracks bringing to a fracture are avoided. A ductile cast-iron rod, with a strong wide section, turns on a B.14 bronze bearing and the rod shank contains the ball joint made of heat-treatable steel.

The FACS "V" Presses are equipped with direct "wheeldrive" clutch, being the crankshaft directly connected to the monodisc pneumatic drive clutch/brake, which transmits the handwheel energy to the shaft. The FACS "R" Presses are equipped with a spiral gear reducer, placed between handwheel and crankshaft, contained into a oil bath sump for the continuous drive lubrication.

Two pneumatic cylinders allow the slide balancing. The pneumatic feeding plant is equipped with thank and pressure regulator. This pressure value can be regulated in relation with the weight of the upper mould on the slide and is shown on the manometer.

The lubrication of the working pieces is 1-loss centralized. The lubrication circuit is feeded by an automatic pump. A safety device controls the lack of oil. A warning light placed on the drive control panel winks for emergency and stops the machine working.

The overload control during the slide driving is effected by a high precision hydraulic plant which allows the maximum thrust between 100% and 50% of the machine power, without stopping it and making the restarting easier.

The electric equipment, placed in a special cabinet, has a control console showing each control and action work. Its parts, of the best quality, are so well placed that their replacement for maintenance or control is very easy.

The pneumatic feeding plant is equipped with a lubricating-regulating filter set for a treatment. The pneumatic clutch feeding is controlled by a safety double-valve as per the national and foreign safety standards. The monodisc clutch/brake unit guarantees a safe working and a long life. Such operations, as replacing the ferodos, are easy and quick.
The safety switch controls the air-pressure and stops the machine working for lack of air. A warning light on the control console helps the worker to check the drive.
