Lissmac machines for metal processing

Lissmac

LISSMAC represents innovation, experience, and quality manufactured in Germany. We produce all our machine components and tools with the utmost precision at our headquarters in Bad Wurzach. Our intensive research and development efforts ensure our innovative edge.

For nearly 40 years, we have been setting standards in innovative mechanical engineering and plant engineering. In 2003, LISSMAC introduced the first generation of sheet metal processing machines: a series of steel brushing, grinding, and deburring machines. The inception of the metal processing business came from within our own organization. We were in need of a machine for our production to remove the oxide layer on all laser-cut edges. Since there were no existing systems on the market that could provide this processing method economically and with the required quality, LISSMAC relied on its own expertise and proprietary development.

Today, LISSMAC is recognized as one of the leading suppliers in metal processing. The metal processing segment is one of the fastest-growing within the group. Our innovative machine concept and double-sided processing method offer unique benefits in the market. Our machine technology, decorated with innovation awards, boasts the highest productivity and outstanding processing quality. The third generation of sheet metal processing machines underscores the ongoing innovative ability of the company.

The Metal Processing Division is one of the fastest-growing business units within the LISSMAC Group and offers one of the most complete product portfolios available on the market. In addition to the double-sided series, LISSMAC also offers single-sided, flexible configurable grinding and deburring machines in both wet and dry working versions. To complete the portfolio, the ECOline entry-level series excels in an unbeatable price-performance ratio, resulting in a top return on investment.

LISSMAC machines for metal processing set standards in innovative sheet metal processing. The highly effective processing of both inside and outside contours of steel, stainless steel, aluminum, etc., in just one single pass, is unparalleled in the market. In the realm of surface treatment, whether it's oxide film removal, deburring, or grinding, LISSMAC systems guarantee the highest productivity. Unlike conventional grinders, SBMs (Sheet Metal Machines) win over customers with more efficient processing times and working time savings of up to 60%. The ergonomic machine concept and precise processing quality demonstrate the advantages of LISSMAC technology.

Our systems streamline work processes for customers worldwide and demonstrate their excellent features in everyday use at major multinational industrial companies. There are several thousand LISSMAC sheet metal processing plants in use worldwide. Our international sales and service bases ensure global availability of all LISSMAC services.

The spectrum of uses of our systems is impressively flexible — from individual applications to integration into highly automated work processes. We offer more than just innovative system technology. We automate processes for our customers, aiming for the highest productivity and profitability. Combining our experience from various LISSMAC business segments, we offer integrated comprehensive solutions from a single source.

THE MACHINE CONCEPT
Innovating the dry processing method, our highly efficient double-sided processing tackles all cut contours—both outside and inside—on sheets in just one work process. This double-sided synchronous processing ensures the highest productivity for our customers' production processes. The processing principle of LISSMAC systems ensures optimal tool utilization across the entire working width, as the processing of the workpiece is always perpendicular to the feed direction. Our LISSMAC system portfolio includes four machine series: XS, M, L, or XL, each tailored to meet specific customer requirements. These series vary in the number of assemblies for workpiece processing.

TOOL SYSTEMS
We offer a range of proven LISSMAC tools designed for various applications. These tools can be used in different combinations for oxide film removal, edge rounding, slag removal, and deburring.

ADVANTAGES
Our machines can process sheets with thicknesses ranging from 0.5 mm to 120 mm. Unlike conventional grinders, LISSMAC SBMs offer customers more efficient processing times and working time savings of up to 60%. LISSMAC SBMs stand out with:
- High flexibility
- Precise and reproducible processing quality
- Highest productivity
- Ergonomic machine concept
- Easy handling
- Optimal tool utilization
- Low tool costs
- Fast tool changes with quick clamping systems
- Good accessibility
- Space-saving, compact, and modular structure

OXIDE FILM REMOVAL—B-TOOL
Our B-Tool is highly effective for removing oxide layers on all cut surfaces, both inside and outside contours. Special brushes mounted on a power belt work seamlessly across the cut surface, precisely eliminating the oxide layer. This process not only removes rust, scale, and dirt but also significantly improves surface quality.

EDGE ROUNDING—S-TOOL
Equipped with flexible grinding modules on a power belt, our S-Tool is designed to address sharp cut edges of workpieces. This tool effectively removes secondary burrs while ensuring precise results. The grinding modules can be equipped with suitable grinding media tailored to the application or material of the workpiece. An additional benefit is the optimization of the entire workpiece surface, preserving galvanizing and protective foil integrity.

DEBURRING AND UNIFORM EDGE ROUNDING OF SMALL PARTS—G/E TOOL
Our G/E Tool features two rotating, flexible abrasive lamellar barrel brushes that deliver uniform edge rounding on all inner and outer contours of small parts. These brushes also effectively remove secondary burrs without compromising zinc or plastic coatings.

DEBURRING / EDGE ROUNDING OF THIN METAL SHEETS—G/S-TOOL
Our G/S-Tool is specifically designed for deburring and edge rounding thin metal sheets. A grinding belt processes the material's surface, targeting burrs, surface spatter resulting from punching or laser cutting, and fine plasma burrs. While a slight surface cut may occur, the primary focus of the grinding process is on the cut edge.

SLAG REMOVAL—D-TOOL
The D-Tool utilizes power pins made of hard metal, mounted on a power belt, to effectively remove slag from the workpiece edge. This method offers a simple and efficient way to eliminate slag, resulting in clear savings in tool costs. Mechanical chipping achieves efficient processing, eliminating the need for time-consuming and costly grinding processes.

DEBURRING / EDGE ROUNDING OF THICK METAL SHEETS—G/S-TOOL
For thicker metal sheets that result in larger burrs during plasma and gas cutting, our G/S-Tool employs two grinding belts. This setup allows for focused processing of the cut edges of the workpiece.

EDGE ROUNDING / OXIDE FILM REMOVAL OF THIN METAL SHEETS—S/B-TOOL
The S/B-Tool is ideal for both edge rounding and oxide film removal on thin metal sheets. Equipped with special brushes mounted on a power belt, this tool effectively works across the cut surface, precisely removing oxide layers. The process also eliminates rust, scale, and dirt, significantly enhancing surface quality.
