MAS CNC lathes 5PH 50 The machines are equipped with two independently-controlled carriages enabling cutting with two tools at the same time. The tool heads are situated on rests on the upper bedway. They are oriented with tool plates to face each other in a mirrored way. The tool turrets are 8-position in the 5PH 50 or 12 position in oriented. the 5PH 50D and 5PH 50DS. They are electrically controlled and the SPH 50D being SPH 50D5. and SPH 50D5 can additionally use driven tools. The left turret enters the space above the headstock, the right one above the tailstock. Travels in the Z axis partially overlap however, the minimum distance between the tool turret faces is 400 mm in the SPH 50, 300 mm in the 5PH 50D and 5PH 50D5.
