LINEAR MOTOR DRIVE LINEAR motors are used for X and Y positioning at an ultra-high speed of 120 m/min. This high speed combined with a 20,000 rpm top spindle speed and 100 HP spindle motor provides the ability to have extremely high material removal rates as required by today's aerospace components made from solid aluminum.

Once a large workpiece is loaded on the table, all five faces (top and four sides) can be machined in the same workpiece setup by automatically mounting a right-angle head to the main spindle. By doing so, in-process time will be considerably reduced, and machining accuracy will be substantially improved.
