ROTOR Main-Line. the approved top of the range for lathes and grinding machines. Very precise and robust construction. Made for application on CNC and conventional machine tools. For durable use. Dirt and coolant tight. Sizes are available from Morse Taper 1 through 7 and metric tapers.

1.2 Eco-Líne
Live Centres with pressure indicator visualized by color bands. Main-Line Design but longer travel stroke. Sizes are available from Morse taper no. 2 through 5. VD1 shaft sizes 20, 30, 40 and 50.
Cylindrical shafts 0 25 mm. O 1" and O 32 mm.

1.3 Varía-Line
Very precise and budget priced — the Eco-Line of ROTOR. Quality Live-Centres for lathes and grinding machines. Precise. splash proof construction, modern bearings and very high turning rates. Durable and long lasting.

4 HP-Line
ROTOR Varia-Line. The unique and flexible programme for lathes and grinding machines. Attachments for large diameters. Very precise. splash proof, robust construction for long lasting durable use.

High precision carbide Dead Centres for grinding, measuring and inspection. Optimal grinding results because of high roundness of the 60° point and the precision of the morse taper.

Dead Centres hardened steel with thread and spanner flat for rotating tailstock sleeves
Low budget dead Centres hardened śteel, dimensions and tolerance conform to DIN 806.

ROTOR Facedrivers are available in 5 sizes with chuck capacities from 24 to 150 mm and are available with cylindrical centre mount or Morse Taper. The Morse Taper centres have a support and forcing nut. The driving pins are self-aligning and adjust automatically to the workpiece which has not been cut to an exact right angle.

Special Centres enable:
— an optimal clamp of the workpiece
— as unrestricted access as possible of the tool to the workpiece
The delivery time for a Special Centre amounts to 3-4 weeks.

workpiece weight. Additional loads, for example
due to imbalance or due to uneven weight
distribution, are not allowed.

- Live-Centres with carbide tìp may not be used with maximum load.

All sizes and types from MT 2 onwards are available with a forcing nut (page 9).

Concentricity-toIerance

With Support and Forcíng Nut
All sizes and types from MT 2 onwards are available with a forcing nut (incl. spanner), which can be fixed as a supporting nut at the spindle sleeve. A frictional connection between the
Live-Centre and the spindle sleeve is therefore established.

Coolant deflector as an additional protection against coolant and dirt. This additional seal is
turning ałong with the spindle and seal against the front cover. Consequently the function of
the coolant deflector is not only a seal but also a centrifuge.
We recommend the coolant deflector at strong coolant supplies and grinding.

Type DA wíth pressure indicator and long travel stroke
Application
A pressure indicator with different color bands permits rapid setting and monitoring of the
optimum pressure.
Length tolerances and different centre bores are compensated through a travel stroke at
fixed positions. Correspondingly light workpieces can be clamped very fine.
All Centres with pressure indicator are available in two different spring pressures.
Special Centres
All types with pressure indicator are available with other spring loads.

Facedrivers
Application
Facedrivers for efficient and precise machining of a workpiece over the whole length without rechucking. The driving pins are self-aligning and adjust automatically to the workpiece which has not been cut to an exact right angle. The driving pins can be turned for use in either left or right turning applicatìons. A stable spring-loaded and axially movable centre works independent of the driving pins.
Design
— Surface hardened body with cylindrical centre mount or Morse Taper with support and
forcing nut

— Hydraulic plunger prevents that oil runs out

Maintenance

All Facedrivers with Morse Taper are delivered with a forcing and supporting nut and driving pins form A(for right and left hand turning)

Life span of the bearings = 2000 operation hours.
Diagrams are valid for type N. Consequently select lower loads for longer and slim centres

- The spindle dimension outside the casing can be manufactured accordíng to customer specification.
- The delivery time for a Special Centre amounts to 3-4 weeks.

1.1 ROTOR Main-Líne
— Each Main-Line Centre is supplied with
servicìng and revision instructions.
— Regrinding of used points in accordance with our instructions regains the original
concentricity.
— Spindle and front bearings are ground in pairs. They are not interchangeable with
other spindles and bearings.
— With the repair set (spindle (1), front bearing (2) and seal (3)) you receive an almost new
Centre for approximately 30°0 of the exfactory price.
1.2 ROTOR Eco-Líne and 1.3 Varia-Line
— Because the bearings of the Eco- and VariaLine Centres are pre-stressed, the mounted
point can be reground relatively easily.
— The Centre can be returned to the manufacturer for reconditioning.
1.4 ROTOR HP-Líne
— Each HP-Line Centre is supplied with servicing and revision instructions.
— The Centre can be returned to the manufacturer for reconditioning.

3. Facedrívers
— Each Facedriver is supplied with servicing and revision instructions.
— Used pins can be very easily exchanged.
— Special maintenance is not required.
