Reverse pinions; the small diameter has 12 teeth and transmics the dríve the dríven wheel

(A.1782). Will effectively sílence change wheel gearíng when runníng at high speeds. They replace the
18T and 20T Tumbleг Pinions whích aгe supplied in sceel wíth the standard
ML7 Lathe.
(c) Rear Tool Post. (1468). For eaѕy partíng off and rear turning.

Lathe Cover (1469). The problem of keepíng a lathe rust-free in an
unheated workshop is now largely overcome by the íntroduction of the ML7 Lathe Cover. Tailored to fit, the Cover is made from a substantíal plastíc-cloth, waterproof and oíl-resistíng. It has been desígned wíth the object of províding a buffer of air between
the cold metal and a warm atmosphere, so preventing condensation. Extensíve "greasíngdown" is no longer necessary and extra protectíon can be obtained by using a V.P.I. coated paper oг Sílíca Gel under the cover. Protection from dust,
partícularly abrasíve dust, is also gíven. When a lathe is out of use ít ís sound commonsense to cover the slideways and bearíngs, especially when gríndíng is in
pгoceѕѕ nearby.

Clutch Unít. (1466). For Countershaft drive. Thís Clutch is of the internal expandíng type and is actuated by the axial movement of a shaft passing through the countershaft spindle. The operatíng lever ís in a handy positíon and the clutch can be used for inchíng the work round or for stoppíng the work for gaugíng purposes, etc., wíthout stoppíng
the motor. In cases where lathes are run at high speeds, frequent
stoppíng and startíng imposes abnormal duty, not only o і
swítch contacts, but also on the motor wíndíngs. The Clutch protects the motor from possible
failure due to such frequent switchíng. Your swing head can be returned to us for the Clutch
to be fitted, slight conversion being necessary, or alternatively
the Clutch can be supplied complete wíth new swíng head at slight extra cost.
