ELECTRIC, PNEUMATIC AND
LUBRICATING SYSTEMS
All these syśtems are manufactured usíng propríetary ítems of ínternatíonal śupply. An electroníc programmer uttit controls all operatíng functíons and safety
devíces, and ís fitted wíth ínbuílt faílure detectíon equipment.
The pneumatíc system ís built around a double operating safety electrovalve for controllíng the clutch.
Lubrícatíon ís carríed out by an oil re-circulating unít whích ís constantly actívated throughout the operatíon of the press.

BLANKHOLDER CUBHIONS
The eushions are fıtted ín the bed of the press and they can be used eíther
índependently or in synchronism accordíng to partícular requírementś.
The desígn of the cushíon incorporates the 8 poínt guide system ensuríng that offset loads can be accomodated without any damage whatsoever occuríng to the press, and yet at the same tíme ensures fírst ćlass product tolerances and qualíty.

MACКINE MOTION UNITS
These are of alloy steel to ensure great durabílíty. Líkewise the gears
are mounted on hardened alloy steel shafts. The high speed shafts run ín roller bearíngs and the slow ones on constantly lubrícated eonventíonal bronze bushes.

CONTROL DEVICES
All eleetríe and pneumatíc contral devices are mounted in the upríghts
of the press. Therefore, all adjustments and settíngs are easíly accomplished sínce they are fully accessíble from the work area. The main operatíng control push buttons are
mounted on ćonsoles whíeh can be located at any posítion relevant to the press to ensure both ease of operation and complete operator safety.

MOTOR REDUCER
A motor reducer unít is fitted whích provides of `inchíng' and whích
greatly assísts when tool setting.
Thís facìlíty untíl reeently was a prerogatíve reserved only for hydraulíc presses.

We present here in this eatalogue our
DOUBLE HOUSING
MECHANICAL PRESSES `OPM-2' and `OPM-2V'. These maehínes have
been developed from many years of
experience and combíne the dímensional charaeterístícs, reliabílíty and economy to meet all world market requírements For the 1980s.
SAFETY
The presses are fitted wíth standard equípment to ensure ímmedíate retractíon of the table to the top posítíon when an emergency so demands, and have buílt ín features to ensure
complete operator safety.
APPLICATION
The preśses can be uśed for formíng, drawíng, blankíng and coíning, on both ferrous and non-ferrous materíals, and for small, batch, or long run productíon.

F R A M E S
The press frames are constructed by us from heavy plate beíng CO2 inert
welded in our own plant, thereafter stress relíeved, then followed by shot blasting. Where tie rods are used they are hydraulíeally pre-loaded and of such dímensíons as to ensure abśolute rigídíty.


MOTORS FLYWHEELS
The motors as fitted are of the high speed type. Flywheels are of substantíal dímensions so that even on slow rotatíon the brake/fríctíon assembly whích is coaxial to the flywheel does not get overheated. The brake/fríction assembly is of the pneumatíc síngle-plate type wíth
spring brakíng, thus ensuríng ínstant stoppage in the event of a reductíon in aír pressure.


CONNECTING RODS, SLIDE
GUIDES AND ADJUSTMENT
The main crank bearíngs are handsomely proportíoned and of such design as to províde of near constant temperature working and minímum wear. The slíde adjustíng assembly
which ís placed between the slíde and the crank, ís controlled by a selfbraking motor, which, actíng through a worm screw unít coupled to a spíral ríng gear, rotates the main
(chromíum níckel) screw.
The ram is guíded at 8 poínts and guídes are of the fully lubrícated meehanite cast íron type. Adjustment ís readily accomplished by means of conical gíbs.

HYDRAULIC CUSHION UNIT
Thís unít can be fitted in all our cushíons and whích will allow the
cushíon to be stopped at the end of the stroke, or to control ít to work out
ofphase wíth the main slíde. It can be used for drawíng when double action díes are used.
CUSHION ADJUSTMENT UNIT
Thís unit provídes of adjustment of the top dead centre of the pressure
píns so that standard pressure pins can be used, thus makíng the settíng up of the blankholder an easy task.
Each cushíon ís índípendently provided with a decimal gauge for accuracy to 0.1 mm.

S A F E T Y
OPERATOR SAFETY
- Both hands have to be used to operate the press.
- Three dífferent press cycles are
available, eíther "ínch", "single cycle", or "contínuous cycle", with each of these functíons being selected by the operator and for whíeh a key is requíred.
- Brakíng effıcíency detection to check over-runníng of prescríbed brakíng angle.
- Up to four different drivíng statíons are available, and again for which a
key is required.
- An extractable safety plug is iıtted preventing the press from starting
accídentally duríng tool changing or settíng up.
- Double body drívíng function valve wíth two separate círcuits of cuntrol
to gíve absolute guarantee agaínst malfunctíon.
- Emergency stop buttons are adequately located.
- Optionally, photo-electric barríers can be supplíed at nominal extra cost.
MACHINE SAFETY
- Comprehensíve set of warníng lights fıtted to show írregularities in
main bronze bush temperature, oil pressure,lack oflubricating oil,lack
of compressed aír, and they also indícate any mícroswítch failures.
- Optíonally, electroníc tonnage índicators, checkíng both verticals and índícatíng any overloadíng beyond the requíred pressure setting, can be fıtted.
- Our modular frame type presses are provided wíth a hydraulic pump allowing to unram the ram.
