RD 2/6 Two-headed Seamíng Machine
A vertical-axis, semí-automatíc machíne to perform the símultaneous seaming of upper and lower ends of rounded, oval and polygon-shaped composíte parts, e.g. motor vehicle sílencers, washing machine drums, water heater bodíes, etc.
The lower table is stationary ; the motorízed upper table can be adjusted vertically by 900 mm., to suít the varíous heíghts of the workpieces. The two spíndles rotate in perfect synchronization by means of a mechanícal drive.
Each of the two `SAP' slides are províded wíth a curling and flatteníng roller, and they operate runníng along a work path determined by a follower whích copies the shape of the piece.
