MT4 - H
OMG Zanoletti - PBR, historical brand of ltalian machine tools, presents a new product line of CNC flat bed multitasking lathes with 4 guides foг large pieces machininq. The versatility of the MT4-H lathe will allow to add de vices for borinq, milling, and qrindinq operations and the possibility of additional saddles with Y axis. The project has pursued the maximum modularity of the core e%meпts of the machines and it has given particular
attention to erqonomics and ease of use of the machine. ln this sense, it ś important the accommodation of the chips con veyor without deep excavation in the flooг, makinq easy the cleaninq and maintenance of it. OMG Zanoletti is known since sixties for hiqh quality, precision and sturdiness of its products. All the lathe OMG
Zanoletti are made and assembled inside the factory in Ponte Zanano (Brescia-Italy). OMG Zanoletti has acquired PBR, thereby strenqtheninq its presence in the field of heavy duty machine tools.

Design
The design has pursued the maximum modularity of the core elements of the machines and it has given particular attention to eгqoпomics and ease of use
of the machine. In this sense, it is important the accommodation of the chips conveyor without deep excavation in the flooг, making easy the c/eaninq and
maintenance of it.
Another practical element is the total absence of chains on the floor and by air avoiding the
encurnbrance to the opeгatoг.
The positioning of the chains and sca/es under appropriate protections it guarantees maximum durabflity.

Z axis movement
The Zaxis movemeпt is granted by double pinions and a rack with slant, tempered and ground teeth. A couple of motors and hiqh precision reduction gears
work with the ' Master and Slave " system controled by CıV.

Spindle
The spindle in NíCrMo forged steel cemented, tempered and ground is supported by bearings that pгovide very heavy loads.
Disc brake
The disc brake directly mounted on the frontpart of the spindle grants a perfect clamping.

Tailstock
The tailstock has a spindle supported by roller and thrust
bearings. A system with load cell controls the axial thrust pressure and the thermal dilatation
recovery. The displacement of the tail stock base and quill is electrically managed.

Headstock
The headstock has an external gear box and an internal series of gears pгopeгly sized to exploit all the available torque. The external gear box allows faster chanqes of the speed ranges, less noise and easy maintenance.

Bed
Great emphasis was placed in the design of structural elments of the machine. The monolithic bed in Meehanite cast iron, is equipped with large guides of hardened and ground steel with 60 HRC hardness and it has a great width to support large steady rests without interference with the sadd/e.
