TOOLING CONCEPT
Pullmax manufacture punching machines that give you more parts per sheet and let you run more jobs

per hour. Machines that continuously feed other parts of your production. Machines that can expand into automated systems, to further increase productivity.
Punching machines that increase your competitiveness, profits, or both. KNOW HOW
Each tool is fully indexable
All our punching machines use a single punch head, which can index all tools to any angular position. In one second, a tool can be indexed 480 degrees. Using indexing tools, you can rotate and position parts anywhere you wish on the sheet, even far out along the
edges. In other words, you get more parts out of each sheet. For sheet metal parts, the material cost often varies from 25 to 75 percent of the total cost per piece. For stainless steel, the share is often more than 90 percent. So, getting more parts per sheet means you substantially boost your profit margin. The ability to index all tools also means that you can substantially reduce your tools inventory
Here is how you get even more tools
Each tool position can hold a Pullmax OrbitTool cassette, loaded with up to eight tools wíth diameters up to 20 mm. The tool changing time within the cassette is to seconds.
To get even more tools, you can add a Pullmax O
Extended Too Magazine ETM, that gives you an additional tool positions. The 45 positions come in three magazines placed іn a stack a real space saver.
The ETM is integrated with the punching machine
A robot switches tools between the internal and external magazine while the machine is working the sheet metal. In other words, there is no down time. lt takes the robot approximately 20 seconds to change a tool.
The three tool magazines are stacked on top of each other.
Number of tools you can access without retooling
Standard
Standard OrbitTool= 15 x 8= 120
Standard + ETM = 15 + 44 = 59
Standard + ETM + OrbitTool = 59 x 8= 472

Trap door. Ejector and photo cell ensures fast, safe ejection of small parts.
The length of the tool guide is nearly three times the diameter. This gives the tools a rigid and precise guide that ensures maximum stabiltiy in the punching process. The dies are positioned below the table surface, preventing sheets from beíng scratched or caught.
Quíck Change
The more tools you need to change between jobs, the more important that the change takes place quickly. It only takes ten seconds for an operator to change both the punch and the die.
The C500 control system is designed especially for punching. Touch screen and. Easy to read graphics facilitate the operation. Controls and screen are mounted on a mobile control panel. The computer and other hardware are mounted in a separate cabinet. Retractable roll top table stacks punched sheets with or without nested parts onto a pallet.

Your automated around the clock system
Reliable fast performance is obviously a prerequisite for a punching machine. But at least as important is rapid, smooth production flow.
An automated set up ensures precisely that. It gives your operator time to plan, prepare and program upcoming work, such as unattended night shift production runs. You will be able to handle more jobs round the clock.
Our machines can be equipped with automated systems for handling sheet material and punched parts. If you choose to operate your machine 24 hours a day, you may want to add functions for monitoring and controlling during unmanned operation, such as tool breakage control and automatic program switching. Whatever your requirements, we will design your automated system to suit your needs. You do not need to purchase handling equipment at the same time as you purchase the machine. You can easily add this equipment at a later date as your operations expand.

We back you with expert training, support and advice
When you buy one of our punching machines, all our expert hands on assistance and advice comes with it.
We start by analyzing your current production process. Then we suggest which machine best suits your needs, and how to equip it. Our in depth training program ensures safe and efficient operation of your new equipment. In other words, we give you peace of mind. We give your operators up to four days of basic training, and after we have delivered and installed your machine, we give you on site training and continuing support, so you can start up immediately. If you want to know more about punching, you are welcome to register for any of the seminars or lectures offered by Pullmax. If you have any questions about punching your sheet metal parts, just give us a call.

Quick repair, top professional maintenance
Even the best of machines does not get through life without downtime. When that happens, it is reassuring to know you have our professional know how on immediate call. It may just be some little thing that you can fix yourself as we talk you through the procedure over the phone. If that does not help, we will put our expert technicains in your plant within 24 hours, wherever you are located. You can choose between several levels of maintenance. A maintenance contract reduces your risk of expensive operational downtime and increases life expectancy for your equipment.

More about Pullmax
In 1938, ESAB establíshed a subsidiary, AB Elektrosvets. AB Elektrosvets operations included manufacturing universal machines for sheet metal processing. In 1959, the company changed names to Pullmax AB, introducing our well known shearing tool logo. Today, you will find the name Pullmax on more than 50 000 machines for sheet metal shearing, nibbling and punching.
