SAF CS 70 CN CS SERIES The main characteristic of the present machine-set consists of the adjustable centers of the lower rolls, together with the long straight run of the upper roll. This feature permits to look for the best position of the rolls for a better bending quality. For example, to bend a large tubular section in aluminum, wide center distances are required, while, to bend a small tubular section, narrow center distances are necessary. The adjustment of the upper roll determines the bending radius. Advanced technologies are used in order to obtain precise and constant bends. The machine frame consists of solid monobloc. The shafts are mounted on conical roller-bearing for heavy duty. The feeding of bending materials is guaranteed by power unit and the mechanical parts are protected by overload limiting device. The power transmission is made by cardan-joints. A special device adapts the peripheral speed of the upper roll, on the inner side of the bend, to the one of the lower rolls. For big machines, CS90 and CS100, the rolls are hydraulically driven. The side straighteners provide excellent guiding for profiles during the bending operations. All control elements are centralized in one console, its form corresponding perfectly to ergonomic needs. In order to improve still further operations security the console is provided with additional emergency switch which immediately stops all movements of the shafts. During the working the operator is obliged to keep his leg near the emergency switch; therefore, in case of need he can react accordingly.
