Safop HT 1250 WS Universal floor mouted lathes

Safop HT 1250  Universal Lathe for Railway Maintenance A universal lathe mounted on a floor plate has been designed to machine wheelsets disassembled from their bogies. These horizontal universal lathes can also be used for typical turning operations. The automatic cycle can execute the following operations: re-profiling of new and worn tyres and wheels, internal and external facing of tyres, disc brake facing, removing rings, cutting grooves, machining of rims, complete turning of axles, burnishing on wheel axles, bearing and disc brake seats. The machine can be equipped with two turning carriages for high productivity needs.

The machine is designed to drive wheelsets from the internal side of the wheel, without marking the piece. The jaw design allows driving the wheelsets without the need to disassemble any part. In case of wheelsets with holes in the rims, it is possible to use a jaw adapter. On the cross carriage, a 4 position turret is mounted. One position is for the probe, another position is for a double insert tool holder to machine the wheel and the flange. The machining of the disc brake is achieved through an anti-vibrating boring bar. The software allows the automatic calculation of new profiles, depth of cut and number of passes.

Technical Data: Track Gauge - 900-1676mm, Min./Max. Wheel Diameter - 300-1250mm.
