Many key features contribute to the highest degree of machining accuracy for workpieces with cylindrical, prismatic, taper or 3D contours. This is achieved with a minimum number of setups by employing flexible geometry and application technologies such as turning, boring, milling, and a 3rd linear NC axis in the worktable for grinding. The length of table traverse can be adjusted as required, allowing eccentric boring and milling operations through the addition of a workpiece pallet system and/or tool magazine. The machining center can also be integrated into a manufacturing frame of high rigidity with a cross rail that has vertical adjustment.
