Skoda IWD 700 Boring attachment

SKODA Machine Tool and Dörries Scharmann Group offer technological accessories such as the Boring Attachment IWD 700. This attachment is used for boring round holes, machining outside cylindrical and face surfaces, facing, and other similar technologic operations. The attachment is attached to the milling spindle of the machine with bolts and a set of adapters allow it to be used on various types of milling and boring machines.

The attachment's basic characteristics include an axial movement, and a radial out-travel of the boring spindle. A pallet, PA, is supplied as a special accessory for this machine and facilitates the handling of the attachment on the machine or when being clamped, dismounted or stored.

In addition to the boring attachment, the technologic accessories include the exchange equipment 1SQ N-X, which is designed for transport of the pallet PA loaded with the boring attachment between the lay-down place and the working zone of the machine.

The main dimensions and technical data for the attachment are given, including the diameter of the body of attachment, the ratio between out-travels of the machine boring spindle and slide, maximum revolutions of attachment, maximum torque, and maximum cutting force.

To order the attachment, the name and type of the attachment, type and production number of the machine for which the attachment is required, size of the clamping taper in the spindle of the machine, and specification of special accessories must be provided. The weight of the attachment including tool holders ranges from 472-492 kg.
