Sony has newly developed an LS1 chip especially for μ-mate to provide high reliability in a portable instrument. Though compact and handy, μ-mate gives the user extra measuring capacity to 30mm/inch. Resolution is mm/inch, selectable by the inch/metric selection switch, only for M-2030. Digital display by LCD.

Easy to operate. Light and compact. Sony's unique measuring mechanics. The spindle and the anvil are firmly supported by the robust frame. The spindle movement is straight, so no wrenching force is applied to the object to be measured.

Easy One-Hand Operation While operating the side knob with your thumb, the reset button can be easily depressed. The hold button is placed on the rear.

The spindle can be operated by moving the side knob. This works the spindle operation more speedily than the conventional micrometer with a rotary thimble. This allows the operator to move the micrometer anywhere, without losing the measured value. When the measurement is used in a blind spot, just depress the hold button to hold the measured value there, and then move the micrometer to any place to read the measured value.

μ-mate can be mounted on any micrometer stand with the help of the mounting bracket option. Apply the measuring pressure 500g by pressing the slide knob further toward the anvil after the spindle contacts the object to be measured.
