Studer RHU grinding machine

Studer RHU-C Workpiece Spindle is a grinding machine with a steplessly variable workhead spindle speed and hydrodynamic multi-point bearings for wheelhead and workhead spindles. It has a swiveling wheelhead slide for straight and angular approach plunge grinding and a novel, backlash-free feed system with an infeed cam and rotary piston system that excludes any play. The machine has steplessly variable speeds for longitudinal and transverse slides and infeed, with separate hydraulic and electric controls in a machine-separated cabinet. Automatic grinding cycles with or without self-calibration devices are also included. Modifications in size and construction are reserved. RHU-D is a cylindrical grinding machine that comes in models. These machines are top-quality products for one-off and batch production and are available in three balanced capacities of 400-650, 650-1000 mm, and 1000 mm between centers, with either 125 or 175 mm center height.
