Name: Diagram Article No. L1, L2, X, M, and drill range in micrometers (μm): 50, 25, 12.5, 6.30, 3.20, 1.60, 0.80, 0.40, 0.20, 0.10, 0.05, and 0.025. Surface quality standard values: 18. Surface quality diameter tolerance: 5. The radial energy produced during diameter tolerances of up to 17 drilling presses the tool guide, which is achievable in production with pads against the inner wall of the TBT single-lip drills. The bore smooths the surface of the wall, thereby smoothing the surface of the wall. This effect can be increased by the design of the guide resulting in an excellent surface finish. This smoothing process can be enhanced even more by adjusting the design of the guide pads, giving an outstanding quality to the surface finish. Borerunout: The drill bush on the workpiece or the pilot hole and the hole itself dictate precisely restricted guidance for the single-lip drill, thus limiting the drift to a minimum. Runout standard values: TBT. Specifications: Cooling lubricants in bar and coolant in liters per minute. An efficient and correctly dimensioned coolant system with 100 filtering is required to guarantee the economic viability and process reliability of deep hole drilling. Another consideration is the requirement to adhere to a minimum fat content that depends on the material when using emulsion. It is advisable to use deep hole drilling oil for small drill diameters and high-alloy steels. Cutting speed approximate values and feed approximate values: An exact table showing the different cutting speeds and feed values can be found on pages 28-31. See also the virtual feed and speed calculator at [website not provided]. Accessories: Drill bushes available in steel or carbide with the following specifications:

Sealing case procedure: This method uses solid single-lip boring tools with diameters ranging from small to 50mm. The length of the tools can be as much as 6,000mm, and they are guided through stays. The distance between the steady rests should not be more than 40-50 times the diameter of the tool. The spindle of the machine is sealed by the sealing case or the sealing disc inside it. The cutting edge is the radius of the hole to be drilled. The drill head, beaded shank, and clamping element driver/sleeve make up the tool, with the classic single-lip drill head consisting of a solid carbide head with a cutting edge and guide pads.

Immersion procedure: This method also uses solid single-lip drilling tools but is only suitable for diameters ranging from small to 50mm. Since steady rests are not used, the drilling depth is limited to a maximum of 160mm, making it suitable for short holes.

Grinding machines: There are two grinding machines available, the Tandem grinding machine, and the Universal grinding machine. Both machines are designed for resharpening single-lip drills with different geometries and diameters ranging from small to approximately 20mm. The grinding machines come with various regrinding devices that can only be set once for single-lip drills. Additionally, a grinding fixture and a dry dust extractor are available as accessories.

Cutting data: The cutting speed and feed settings depend on the tool length, cooling lubricant, material, stability of machine parts, and workpiece clamping. The cutting speed for various drill diameters and materials ranges from 30-80 m/min.
