Tos BUC 63B Universal cylindrical grinder

Tos BUC 63B Universal Cylindrical Grinder with Electronic Infeed Control Intended for single-piece and small-lot production, the machine can be used for grinding workpieces up to 3,000 kg and 6,000 mm in length. Due to the automatic work cycle, quick setting up and compatibility with the size control gauge, the machine can be economically exploited in series production. The machine incorporates modern design features, such as numerical preselection of wheelhead infeed by a stepping motor over a ball screw with preloaded nut and hydrodynamic wheel spindle bearing. The final work diameter is determined by the wheelhead position corresponding to the position of the infeed screw driven by the stepping motor. The value is shown on the display. With the size control gauge option extra applied, the final work diameter is fixed by setting the gauge. All machine controls are conveniently concentrated at the operator's position. Optional extras considerably widen the range of machine application, while at the same time favorably affecting the surface finish. The grinder is also capable of being set to the customer-specified grinding technology. The machine is accomplished in increased accuracy to enable the individual diameters to be ground in the IT 4 tolerance class. The machining accuracy in grinding several diameters in one setting is in the IT 5 tolerance class. The grinder is available equipped with the control system. Moreover, the said version may be complemented with the attachment for grinding concave and convex. Longitudinal grinding of cylindrical or taper surfaces on workpieces held in the plunge-cut grinding of overhanging workpiece in normal or oblique infeed centres of workhead and tailstock. Plunge-cut grinding of overhanging workpiece chucked in swivelled workhead. Plunge-cut grinding with built-up wheels. Face grinding of low workpieces held on magnetic chuck; workhead swivelled by 90. Grinding of cylindrical or taper surfaces in successive plunge cuts and grinding of cylindrical or taper holes by means of the internal grinding longitudinal regrinding attachment supplied as optional extra. Concave/convex grinding. Manually controlled successive grinding of different diameters on weighty work in one setting; cross adjustment of wheelhead from one to next diameter is facilitated by the digital readout of wheelhead position.
