Tos Hulin Vertical lathes

TOSHULIN, Vertical lathes  50-Year History

The tradition of the company known in the past as TOS Hulin originated in 1949 when the machinery plant began to be built in the town named Hulin. Machine tools have been manufactured here since 1951, most of which are vertical lathes, followed by edge planing machines, shaping machines, plano-milling machines, copy milling machines, and horizontal boring and milling machines.

In 1959, the company manufactured the first vertical lathe with continuous feeds and with the NC line motion control system equipped with the copying attachment. This vertical lathe was made based on the company's documentation. The plant started manufacturing this generation of machines as one of the first ones in the world. The vertical lathes with automatic tool exchange were first manufactured in 1974, with a 15-position tool magazine.

During its existence, the company has delivered more than 11,000 machine tools to 58 countries worldwide. The vertical lathes made in TOSHULIN are used in extreme working conditions very often for many years of production.

At the current time, TOSHULIN's production program is represented by vertical lathes with table diameters ranging from 1250 mm up to 3000 mm, and the major part of production is intended for stable markets in industrial advanced countries. The company's mission statement is "TRADITION ACCURACY RELIABILITY."

The vertical lathes made in TOSHULIN are specified for highly efficient turning operations, roughing as well as finishing, in the repeated production of small and medium-sized series of workpieces having shapes as flanges, disks, etc. The machines can turn external and internal cylindrical surfaces and front surfaces with the constant cutting speed, as well as external and internal conical and general surfaces, and external and internal threads, metric as well as inch type.

The machines equipped with the third controlled C-axis and with the live spindle drive allow high-efficient drilling and thread cutting, also outside the table rotation axis, milling of general shapes horizontally or vertically towards the table, and grinding of general shapes vertically towards the table.

On the customer's wish, it is possible to design and supply special vertical lathe versions to obtain the maximum efficiency of machining operations.

In order to put your new machine into full operation as soon as possible, the specialists of the customized technology department provide to a special order in advance: design of jigs and fixtures and their manufacture, a set of the most suitable tooling, programming and optimization of technological processes, performing of tests and acceptance, and training of operators.

After the machine is put into operation, engineers are ready to provide support for your investment by training of operators, programming techniques, to maintenance and service staff, documentation, technical help, prompt warranty and after-warranty service directly on the machine at the installation site, and prompt supplies of spare parts.

The machines made in TOSHULIN comply with essential requirements regarding health protection, safety of work, and ecology according to Directives and have the CE mark.
