Tos SKAT Special vertical lathes

Tos Skat Special Vertical Lathes are designed for high-efficiency machining of railway wheels and similar workpieces. The machines have two rail heads and a fixed cross rail. There are two chain tool magazines and an automatic check of ram clamping force during machining. The machine allows for quick tool holder exchange, and the rugged frame provides high rigidity for high-efficient machining. The machine's working area is entirely enclosed. It is possible to complete the machine with the pallet exchange system, serving for workpiece exchange and their transport.

The machine can have different CNC controls, increased table speed, third controlled axis C-axis, ram with live spindle drive, ram with grinding equipment drive, rotary grinding wheel dressing equipment, tool cooling, coolant filtering equipment, rotary inspection equipment, front chip conveyor, chip collecting box, ecological protective guards, exhaustion equipment, active workpiece checking, active tool checking, tool condition monitoring, workpiece exchange manipulation system, clamping device for technological pallets, electrical outfit for other voltage and frequency, cooling equipment-coolant temperature stabilization.

The machine's working range and table diameter vary according to the model, with a maximum workpiece diameter of up to 3600mm, a maximum workpiece height of up to 2540mm, and a maximum workpiece weight of up to 30000kg. The infinitely variable table speed ranges from 3.2-400 RPM to 2.5-400 RPM, and there are high-speed options available. The rail head has different specifications depending on the model.
