Tos SU universal centre lathe

Tos SU universal centre lathe

The machine has a horizontal bed with a rigid design, and the feed control is ensured by two electro-mechanical handwheels placed on the carriage. The ways of the saddle are covered with anti-friction linings to prevent the stick-slip effect at small feeds. The spindle drive is derived from an asynchronous electrical motor that is controlled by a frequency regulator. The spindle speeds are infinitely variable in 4 hand-shifted gear ranges, allowing turning with a constant surface cutting speed possible. The machine can perform basic turning operations such as turning of cylindrical and taper surfaces, facing, drilling, boring, turning of recesses, threed cutting, internal and external radii, and contour turning various rotary profiles. The machine can be equipped with a control system of various producers such as Fagor, Heidenhain, and Siemens. The tool post is hand-operated and equipped with a quick change tool post Multifix. The machine can also be provided with an additional upper longitudinal slide, hand-operated, or CNC-controlled rotary head. The monitor and control panel of the control system are built into the box of the control panel, which is placed on the rotating arm and fixed to the saddle. All dangerous places for the operator are protected by guards. The machine can be ordered with a main motor power of 37 kW. This machine has a specially designed headstock dimensioned for such high output. The headstock can be offered in two versions: gear range changes either with hand shifting of three revolution ranges infinitely variable in a given extent or with automatic shifting of gear ranges by means of hydraulic shifters. The revolution ranges, output, and torques are visible from introduced diagrams. The capacities of the machine are as follows: SU 100 CNC, SU 125 CNC, and SU 150 CNC. The swing dia. over bed/cross slide is 1,050/730 mm, 1,250/940 mm, and 1,500/1,200 mm, respectively. The distance between centres is 2,000 mm, 3,000 mm, 4,000 mm, 5,000 mm, 6,000 mm, and so on.
