Voortman system automatically produces plates effortlessly out of bar. As a result of the modular design, the system can be optioned with additional modules, for example, an angle shear and a horizontal punch.

Material buffer Several stock lengths can be placed on the cross transports. The material is transported to the system automatically. In this format, the V550 punching and shearing system operates completely automatic.

Designed for future demands The flat shear is mounted on a base frame which is prepared for an optional angle shear in the future. The shear can be added when required to suit your future demands.

The system shown in this layout is an automated plate processing line. Automatic loading and unloading allow this system to run unmanned. All required hole sizes are available as the punching assembly is provided with 10 punches and 20 dies for automatic tool changing while also detecting material thickness for die changes.

Part identification The numbering unit provides each part with the correct identification number. This numbering system simplifies the location of the plates during the welding process.

Automatic loading The loading crane automatically locates the correct material from the stock loading area and loads it onto the infeed cross transports. Remnants are then automatically taken off the infeed system and placed back into the stock area. The location of the remnant is stored in the inventory control system for future reference.

The piece parts are placed in the correct bin on the exit sorting system. The system is provided with several bins based upon the customer's requirements. This exit sorting system allows the machine to run unmanned.

No manual tool changing required Pieces with multiple hole diameters can be processed using the 10 punches and 20 dies. The correct cutting clearance is automatically chosen.

The production of plates, clip angles, and trusses is fully automated with this system. Valuable space is not lost because a stock system is added at the infeed side. Also, a drilling unit is added for parts which require drilled holes or tapped holes. The system is capable of processing angle steel with the additional horizontal punch and angle shear.

Save valuable space The Voortman V3000 stock system can store a large amount of material on a relatively small floor space. The material is taken out of the bins by a coupled loading crane. Remnants are placed back into the bins automatically. Two bins can be summoned at the same time; therefore, there will be no waiting time. Real-time feedback is sent from the system to the office server to update the inventory steel stock software.
