Available in three set table or pallet sizes, it is primarily employed in the machine tool industry, for the machining of smaller workpieces and in the die and mold industry. The universal milling head integrated in the ram can be equipped either with a mechanically or with motor-driven spindles. The mechanically driven spindle is eccentrically mounted, enabling the workpiece to be perfectly machined on five sides. Future-oriented solutions offer the user considerable advantages. For example, the ValuTec can be erected on a foundation on level ground without any ducts or parts; it has an integrated chip conveyor, and the machining area is completely enclosed with an opening roof. A further state-of-the-art feature is the integrated automatic tool changer on the operator side, which is one of a kind. It is principally used in the machine construction and machine tool industry, where the required accuracy is literally to a fraction of a micron. A modern machining center requires a flexible, high-performing periphery. Waldrich Coburg's range boasts several changing systems, which are selected on the basis of the machine type, available space, and the number and dimensions of the tools and spindle units.

But all changing systems have one thing in common: high reliability and fast changing times. Non-productive times are reduced to a minimum and productivity is raised. All axes are equipped with electromechanical drives and ensure maximum availability during continuous operation.

Even unusually long, heavy tools up to 2000 mm and 150 kg can be changed if necessary. The tool data management system is tailor-made to suit the requirements of large machine tools. Several different tool locations and a very high number of diverse tools can be managed, for example. Of course, it goes without saying that the numerous different spindle units are changed automatically.

A pick-up process lifts the spindle units directly from a platform cart.

Double table and pallet design The double table or pallet design allows loading and unloading the machine during productive time, further raising productivity. The customer can choose between these two versions to best suit his production volumes, available space, and cycle times.

In addition to the setting-up advantages it offers, the double table version also provides the option of automatically coupling the tables so that they can be operated as a single table. This provides the user with greater flexibility for the machining of long workpieces.

In their standard version, pallet-type machines are equipped with a double pallet shuttle with transverse adjustment. Set-up takes place directly on the shuttle, and the pallets are then pushed onto the machine's pallet carrier. If several pallets are required, the machine is supplied with separate set-up and buffer stations and single or double pallet shuttle.

The option of an integrated rotary table is also available for the double table and pallet versions.
