The FZU is a remarkably compact 5-axis portal milling machine for the machining of aluminum, composite materials, plastics, and Ureol. The exceptionally stiff, newly developed, center-aligned portal empowers the machine to meet the increasing requirements of the pattern, tool, and model-making industry. This thermo-symmetric design makes the FZU less susceptible to unfavorable environmental conditions.

With its modular design, the mono-block hook machine offers different length and height variants as well as extensive equipment options, such as process cooling with cooling lubricant and/or minimum quantity lubrication. The great flexibility in the processing of materials and the highest surface quality, as well as accuracy, result in the optimum price-to-performance ratio.

THE HEART OF THE MACHINE: THE ZIMMERMANN MILLING HEAD VH10.
The FZU is equipped wíth the newly developed dynamíc 2-axís míllíng head VH10. Due to its slím desígn, the VH10 has only min mal interference contours. The fork ís made of mono-block cast desígn. Despíte its
small size, the VH10 achieves hígh clampíng forces thus allowing stable component processing. To minímíze cycle tímes, the VH10 is equipped with two powerful spíndle optíons: 34 or 20 kW at 24,000 rpm. Effective
process coolíng wíth coolíng lubrFcants and/or mínimum quantity lubricatíon are optionally available.
Furthermore, the míflíng head can be used for the ultrasoníc cuttíng method. The VH10 ís partícularly suítabbe for milling aluminum, composíte materíals, plastícs, Ureol, and clay.
