MAIN TECHNICAL FEATURES

It was built following successful software designs used across the range of high-precision grinders produced by GER for the aerospace, automotive, bearing gear manufacturers, and general engineering industry sectors.

GERGRINDER SOFTWARE INTERFACE
GerGrinder offers a conversational, user-friendly programming interface for grinding and dressing processes by sequencing predefined parametric graphical cycles. Additionally, the option for direct programming from part drawings can be included. The software supports grinding and dressing cycles based on predefined profiles, and it features an easy-to-use profile editor for creating free profiles, whether for C-axis interpolation, axis interpolation, or profile dressing.

Complicated profiles defined in ISO programming can be directly imported into GerGrinder. This software allows for the definition of grinding wheel and dressing tool parameters, as well as the creation of a database. GerGrinder offers numerous possibilities for real-time intervention in programs during automatic execution, enabling adjustments to parameters based on real-time process needs without aborting the program.

The software includes a program file management system and supports Ethernet and USB interfaces for program input and output. Geometric correction tools, such as taper and bombring, can be applied during the grinding cycle without modifying the original program.

GerGrinder incorporates integrated grinding knowledge to assist operators in selecting appropriate grinding parameters. It also provides estimation of grinding and dressing times, facilitating machining cost calculations. Additionally, there is an internet-based teleservice software option for maintenance purposes.

Measuring cycles are integrated within the grinding cycles for pre- or post-process measurements. Developed entirely by GER, GerGrinder offers turnkey solutions tailored to specific customer or process needs. It operates within a Windows Embedded environment, allowing other applications to run alongside GerGrinder.
