IXION TLW 1 to TLW 5 is a family of 1-, 2-, 3- or 4-spindle machines for deep drilling of long workpieces with gundrills.

- Drilling capacity from Ø 1 mm to Ø 32 mm
- Drilling depth up to 1,200 mm

TLW 1 machines are equipped with:
- High precision and high-speed built-in spindle
- Ceramic bearings with grease for life lubrication
- IXION tool holder with precision extension chuck

TLW 2-5 machines have main spindles with belt drive.
- High drilling quality through centering of tool and workpiece
- Spindle head, drill bush case, and clamping cones are mounted on low-wear linear antifriction guidance.
- Plexiglass partition between the working areas for workpieces and tools
- Integrated IXION process monitoring
- Alternative hydraulic workpiece clamping in fixed or contra-rotating clamping cones. Upon request, we can deliver other clamping devices.
- Hydraulic clamping movements or with servo axis. Machines with multi-spindles have an automatic equalize system for the clamping of the various lengths of the workpieces, e.g., length tolerances.

Machine with 4 spindles (Photo TLW 1-350-4) with contra-rotating workpieces (O). High-frequency spindle (Built-in) up to 27,000 min-1. CNC controlled Tailstock (O). Drilling capacity Ø 1.0 mm - Ø 6 mm, drilling depth 350 mm.

For the multi-spindle machines, the spindle size of the TLW 1-5 can be arranged according to requirements. The basic scope of delivery of the machine has the largest number of spindles.
