SCREEN SIZE
Anteus is províded with a 450 mm díameter screen and is ín the medium size optical comparator range.
Its performance can be increased by usíng a 5X magnification lens wíth 90 mm object fie/d.
DESIGN FEATURES
Anteus is characterised by an illumination system on the horizontal and the projection screen located nearly vertical.
Anteus is therefore more versatile and sturdy than Optical Comparators wíth illuminatíon system on the vertical axís.
However if required Anteus can be quickly converted ínto a vertícal axís illumination system by means of a simple
accessory.
RELlABILITY
When choosíng a product, particularly a long life Optícal Comparator, its operative continuity and freedom from faílure in daily use, are of extreme ímportance. LTF backed
by statístícs obtaíned over a period of many years from operators of many thousands of Microtecnica Optícal
Comparators in worldwíde use, assure for Anteus full reliability and End User satísfactíon.
WIDE RANGE OF ACCESSORlES
In addition to the usual accessories, Anteus can be fitted wíth an edge finder and a data processor with prínter which transform the tradítíonal Optícal Comparator into a
Bídimensíonal Measuríng Machine, capable of carryíng out contact-less checks and measurements, rapíd/y and accurately. By means of these accessories the Anteus can
perform quick and hígh accuracy checks and measurements on components with a very complícated geometrical configuration. The CNC avaílabílíty further increases the
performance of Anteus allowing to check automatically the parts under testing.

PROJECTION SYSTEM
The ANTEUS Model can be used to check on diascopic (direct) and episcopic (surface) projections, either separately or simultaneously.

HORIZONTAL DIASCOPIC PROJECTION - Photo 1
Is the dírect projectíon system used for checkíng external profiles. It is maínly used for cyclindrical components placed between the dead centres, on the "V" support or in a
více support, the latter when checking flat píeces.
The líght source parallel beam, obtained by means of the optícal condenser, is originated by a 150W 24V halogen bulb lamp with two light intensities and motor fan lamp cooling system.

VERTICAL DIASCOPIC PROJECTION (optional) - Photo 3
Is obtained by means of the same illuminator as for the episcopic, but it is combined with a mírror and a glass support on which small and/or thin pieces can be placed directly.
This effectively creates a second profile projector giving a big íncrease in the scope and use of ANTEUS model.
The object field is the same as for the horizontal díascopic projection whílst the measuring fíeld, obviously, is límíted according to the prism size, placed inside the glass support, which is mm 175 x 48.

Both magnificatíon lenses and mirrors have been designed by Microtecnica in one of the most up to-date Optical
Laboratories in Europe.
