The success of the LVD machine types is mainly due to exhaustive engineering studies for each new design, elaborate test programs, followed up by year-long observation of their behavior under real industrial conditions, with special attention to the opinions and wishes of the machine users.
LVD's production organization, which includes quite a number of specialized departments and services, guarantees faultless manufacture.
LVD is just as well equipped to design and build special heavy machines, although standard machines make up the greater part of our production. The long experience of the LVD designers covers a wide variety of special purpose machines.

In the late seventies the first shearing center was produced.
In a parallel direction to the creation of complete ranges of shearing centers, LVD undertakes the design of automatic blade changers, automatic piece loading-unloading, and conveying systems. So doing LVD resolutely engages in the field of robotics.

TRAINING
 

In 1980, the first shearing centers for an automated flexible manufacturing system are supplied to customers.

LVD is making significant efforts to assist its customers in implementing Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) in their factories by developing software products for CAD/CAM applications, specifically for the plate working sector, and Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) software for optimizing the production process.

LVD is currently in a very dynamic and vibrant position. The works employ more than 600 people on a 15-hectare site, with 40,000 m² of built-up area. Approximately 90% of its production, which covers various areas of plateworking, is exported. Thousands of machines manufactured by LVD are in use today in more than 70 countries and are applied in various industrial sectors.
