Mori seiki MH 500 Horizontal Machining Center

Complete and deep satisfaction that cannot be expressed in specificatíons a machíne that makes any user a machíníng authoríty
Hígh rígidity usíng mínimal floor space
The bed is buílt ín tetra-tube, which is very resistant to twísting and bendíng. The triangular-frame body ís strong agaínst víbratíons and backlash, and despíte a thíckness whích ís íntended to ensure hígh rigídíty, the body saves on space. A traversíng column is also employed which ensures better operabílíty and safety.
And, of course, FEM analysís was used in the basic design stage.
Ample travel for large workpieces
All axes offer more than enough travel to handle large workpíeces. Anythíng up to a maxіmum 900 mm (35.4 іп.) swíng díameter, maximum Ø mrn (35.4 ín.)* heíght and maxímum 1,000 kg (2,200 lb.) weight can be machíned. Also, Mori Seiki's own highly rígid, high precisíon ball screw [45 mm (1.8 іп.) diameter] ís used as the feed shaft, and the rapíd traverse rate ís a fast 20 m/mіп (65.6 fpm) on all axes.
*Raised coIuiiin specilication (option): 1,100 mm (43.3 in.)

Powerful direct drive spindie
A direct drive spíndle (DDS) motor known for its high efficiency greatly reduces acceleratíon tíme by ensuring a powerful ou[put across a wíde rpm (min-t) range. As options, both híghoutput and hígh-speed specíficatíons are offered to meet the needs of heavy duty and hígh speed machíníng, respectívely.
Hígh precísíon synchronized tapping ís possíble at a maximum 1,800 miñ1.
