Special Curvic Couplíng and Ball Screws
Morí Seíkí has developed a specíal 250mm curvíc couplíng for better
accuracy.
Ultra-precísíon ball screws ( 60mm for Z axis, Ø36mm for X axís) are
also used to further ímprove accuracy. Both parts are produced ín-house under íntense qualíty control.

Compact One-piece Machíne and Control Unít
The NC unít, electríc control board, hydraulic unit and lathe are combíned
in one compact unit to reduce the amount of floor space requíred and make transport and ínstallatíon easíer.

Complete Covering
The entíre machíne ís covered to provent chíps and coolant from splashíng outsíde the machíne so that the operator works safely.

A responsive AC spíndle motor requiring no brush replacement ís used for the SL-5 H type. AC 18.5/22kW and AC 22/26kW spíndle motors are also avaílable as optíons for high power and hígh speed operatíon.

Extremely rigid slant bed
Wíde and stable, the bed possesses extreme rigidity to cope wíth heavy-duty cuttíng.
The use of the 60°slant bed and the specíally desígned slídeways facílítates chip dísposal. An optíonal chíp conveyor can also be easíly connected.

Full Functíon NC Unit

SL-5's NC unit comes standard wíth CRT, tool nose R compensatíon, círcular radíuš R command, chamferíng/corner R command, multíple repetítive cycle, decimal point ínput, E 6-dígít thread cuttíng and tape punchíng ínterface.

Control Panel
The control panel conveníently groups all swítches and controls and ís located on the right front cover for fast access,easy control and greater safety. A speed meter ís included for more complete monitoríng
